Though her music career may have been born in Nashville, Tenn., a true Wisconsinite will be returning to her roots for her third album’s release party.
UW-Eau Claire alumna Sarah Lou Richards is returning with backup band The Handsome Devils to play at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Revival Records, 128 S. Barstow St. She will be playing many of the songs from her third album “The Woman Behind the Curtain,” which was released in November. “I’m feeling really lucky to be able to come and share my music in Wisconsin as one of the first shows with this new album,” she said.
“Wisconsin has been a really important place for me since I started my career, and I’m really proud to be able to show off what I’ve done.”
While in town, Richards said she will be sure to stop by for a sandwich at Grand Avenue Café and pop in for a coffee at Acoustic Café. Unlike bigger shows, holding the concert at a record store is something different for Richards. “I’m looking forward to playing in a new space,” she said. “I think it’s going to be really neat to be in a music store surrounded by all the energy.”
